1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how ChainBox processes information when you use Weather Trace ("the App").
2. Information We Process
- Location data: your device location when you request current weather, hourly forecasts, or daily forecasts.
- Weather query data: the coordinates and time used to request weather, plus the weather responses returned by Apple WeatherKit.
- Local settings: language preference and color theme stored on your device.
- Operational data: basic app state needed to render views and keep the App working. The current codebase does not include account sign-in, advertising SDKs, or app analytics.
3. How We Use Information
We use this information only to:
- show weather for your current location;
- format the interface in your selected language;
- remember your local settings;
- troubleshoot and keep the App stable.
4. Sharing
We do not sell personal information.
To provide weather and place-name lookups, the App sends your location to Apple WeatherKit and Apple location services. Those services are subject to Apple's own terms and policies. The App does not currently send data to our own weather backend, advertising network, or analytics platform.
5. Storage and Retention
- Weather data is used while the App is running and is not written to long-term app storage by this project.
- Language and theme preferences stay on your device until you change them or uninstall the App.
- Deleting the App removes app-managed local data, although iOS backups may retain some information.
6. Permissions
The current weather features require Location Services. If you deny location access, the App may not be able to load weather for your current position. Camera, microphone, photos, contacts, and local network access are not part of the current weather flow.
7. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes and Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App or applicable rules change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
