Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 9, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how ChainBox ("we") processes information when you use Net Sec Tools ("the App").
2. Information we process
This application is based on device local security assessment and mainly processes the following information:
- Device and security status information: iOS version, whether to set a device password, whether Face ID / Touch ID is available, iCloud backup related status, signs of jailbreak, debugger attachment status, file protection status, Keychain protection status, network connection type, VPN status, whether the screen is being recorded or cast.
- Permission and authorization status information: camera, microphone, positioning accuracy and positioning authorization, tracking authorization, photos, address book, calendar, Bluetooth and other system authorization status.
- Local preferences and history: language settings, local history of inspection results, resolved project records, interface status, etc.
- Temporary detection items: To evaluate file protection and Keychain protection, the application may create or read local detection items on your device. These detection items are only used for security judgment.
- Technical logs: A small number of system-level operating logs, used for troubleshooting and stability analysis.
This application will not actively upload your photos, contacts, calendar, microphone, camera or location content itself; we mainly read the authorization status and security signals returned by the system to generate ratings and recommendations.
3. Permissions and device capabilities
- This application will read relevant permission results based on the current status of the system, but the core functions do not rely on you creating an account within this application.
- When you click System Settings to boot in the app, you may be redirected to the iOS settings page, where you can adjust relevant permissions yourself.
- The core checks of the current version are mainly completed locally on the device and can be used without relying on cloud synchronization.
4. Information purposes
We only process the above information for the following purposes:
- Generate ratings and inspection results for device security, network security and privacy centers;
- Provide safety suggestions, risk tips and operational guidance;
- Remember your language selection, local history and processed records;
- Ensure the stable operation of the application, troubleshoot problems and improve the experience;
- Show you the legal page and settings page information of this application.
5. Information Sharing
We will not sell your personal information.
This application currently does not require account login and does not rely on the ad serving SDK. Unless you actively open an external webpage, or future versions explicitly enable cloud capabilities, the core evaluation results of this application are mainly retained locally on your device.
When you open a privacy policy, terms of service, or other external link, the relevant web page or CDN service may receive standard network information, such as IP address, device information, and access times, which is typically handled by the corresponding service provider in accordance with its own policies.
6. Data retention and deletion
- Language settings, exam history and resolved records are saved on your device by default.
- After an app is uninstalled, the data related to the app saved locally will usually be removed, but whether the system backup is retained depends on the iOS backup settings.
- If you wish to clear a more complete local state, you can reset related data through system settings or reinstalling the app.
7. Data Security
We will try our best to protect information security through reasonable technical and administrative measures, including completing most assessments locally, minimizing necessary data processing, and prioritizing the use of security capabilities provided by the system.
But no system can guarantee absolute security. You should also keep your device system updated and regularly check important permissions and account security settings.
8. Children’s Privacy
This App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
9. Policy update
We may update this privacy policy in response to product, legal or compliance requirements. Continued use of the App after updates constitute your acceptance of the revised policy.
